Pre Season Letter

Hi Southeast Storm Players and Families,

Welcome to the Spring 2014 Basketball Season.
This is our 7th year for Storm.
We are very excited to get under way!

This weekend, we will put 8 teams on the hardwood, with players ranging in age from 9 to 18 years old.
Players from all over the Southeast Region will suit up for Storm, get active, compete, develop their game and have fun!
We are very proud of them!

At this time, we respectfully ask everyone to:

1. Show respect for all participants from all teams; Players, Coaches, Referees and Fans. Everyone is involved to participate and have fun. Let's keep it that way!

2. Volunteer to help our team. Parents can help teams by organizing team events and carpools. Talk with your coach and get involved!

3. Volunteer to get involved with the Club Executive. Just email dcooper@hsd.ca

3. Volunteer as a game timekeeper/scorekeeper. Please don't wait for the coach to ask. He/she is already doing the toughest job. Please volunteer first or help organize a rotation of parents to take turns.

Thanks to everyone for supporting and being a part of our community club.
We are strongest when everyone contributes.
Thanks especially to our coaches for all your hard work and care.

We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable season.
Go Storm!

Blog Update

Hi Storm Players and Families,

Thank you for registering with Southeast Storm Basketball Club.
We are very excited about the upcoming season!

We have just completed the initial stage of our Spring Season Planning.
We believe that we have found a Southeast Storm Team for every player who has registered.

Here are the next steps for Storm:
   1. We will continue to welcome player registrations to fill out teams. If you have a friend who would like to play, please have him/her email me.

 2. We will organize teams, coaches, practices and equipment. If you are willing to coach or have a coach for Storm, please email me now.
Practice schedules will be based on HSD Gym and Storm Coach availability.
Once teams are on the practice floor, we will make final practice schedule adjustments, if necessary.

      3. Coaches and/or Southeast Storm Executive will contact all players before Spring Break starts (March 28).
Players will be informed as to their teams, upcoming practice schedule and first game schedule.
If you are not contacted by March 28, please email me.

  4. Storm practices will begin the week of April 7.
If you purchased a uniform and/or shorts, your coach should deliver it/them to you at the first practice.

       5. Games will begin the weekend of April 12/13.
Teams of 12 year olds (born 2002) or yonger will play on Saturdays.
Teams of 13 year olds (born 2001) or older will play on Sundays.

We are very excited about the upcoming season.
    We hope you are too!
